Certified Bureau of Perpetual Arrivals. Est. 2026. Every ring logged, every arrival still pending.
The Bureau of Perpetual Arrivals exists to formalize an act visitors have performed unsupervised for over a century: pressing a doorbell, and waiting. We now log it, confirm it, and calculate a confidence score for it.
Upon each ring, the Bureau recalculates your Response Confidence using proprietary acoustic dispatch models, porch-light telemetry, and a reasonable amount of guessing. This figure may rise. It has never, in Bureau history, coincided with an actual arrival.
No visitor, however confidently dispatched, may be logged as Arrived. Bureau charter reserves the Visitor Arrived field for an arrival not yet observed. This is described internally as prudent.
Ringing again does not expedite your case. It is, however, logged, filed, and quietly appreciated. The Bureau thanks you for your continued presence at the door and notes that the porch light is watching too.
